Persistent Disparities for Black Patients: Facts from the Massachusetts Primary Care Dashboard

(February 2026)

In honor of Black History Month, we are highlighting the persistent disparities in healthcare access and quality experienced by Black communities in Massachusetts and beyond.

In the Massachusetts Primary Care Dashboard produced by the Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) in collaboration with MHQP, Black respondents reported less favorable experiences than White respondents in four out of five measures.

Clearly, we still have significant work ahead to ensure equitable healthcare for all. This month (and every month), let’s commit to raising awareness, advocating for change, and working together to create a more inclusive and equitable healthcare system.
