MHQP and Massachusetts health care organizations – including the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, the Massachusetts Medical Society, Massachusetts Hospital Association and several health plans, professional societies, and advocacy organizations – have come together produce a set of preventive care recommendations guidelines to support clinicians’ efforts to provide high-quality, evidence-based care, while eliminating the need for provider organizations to consult multiple guidelines produced by state and national entities.
MHQP and supporting organizations have been producing preventive care guidelines since 2001. The guidelines were compiled by a collaborative working group of clinicians using evidence based guidelines from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
The guidelines are available in multiple formats depending on your needs, including printer-friendly formats. We have also compiled additional materials relating to guidelines that you may find useful, such as screening tools and referral guides for clinicians, and informational handouts for patients.
