Women's Health:
Cervical Cancer Screening (Ages 21 to 64)

Healthcare quality measure: This measure looks at women who are between 21 and 64 years old. It shows the percent of those patients who had a Pap test at least once in the past three years.

Reasons for this measure: Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer worldwide. Cervical cancer can be prevented and successfully treated. Doctors use a Pap test to screen for (find) cervical cancer. This test is done as part of a woman’s routine health exam. When cervical cancer is found early, it almost always can be cured.
